Every story has a beginning.
At OCA, ours begins with a deep desire — a dream we call:“A Small Stream Finding Its Way to the Vast Ocean.”
In 2014, while working in investment consulting for Japanese enterprises, Ms. Thu had the opportunity to collaborate with Mr. Nozawa Hiroki – Chairman of C-Point Group. He was one of the rare business leaders she encountered who consistently placed human values above profit. Unlike the typical investment mindset focused on urban development, Mr. Nozawa believed that investing in rural areas would bring real benefits to local communities and contribute to social progress and deeper human values.
Four years later, inspired by that encounter and driven by a desire to create more opportunities for young people in her hometown to access Japanese culture, education, and employment, Ms. Thu returned to Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu. Together with Japanese partners, she founded Red Sun Co., Ltd., a company specializing in education and human resources with a Japanese focus, in the beautiful and promising coastal city of Vũng Tàu.
Thanks to knowledge, effort, and a deeply human-centered approach, the educational arm of the business stabilized in less than a year. Then, a new chapter began—awakening a childhood dream of clean and smart agriculture. Troubled by the growing concerns over unsafe food and driven by a sincere desire to contribute to her homeland, she began to ask:
How can we ensure the true value of what farmers produce is recognized?
How can they earn what they truly deserve for every drop of sweat poured into their fields?
If we could make that happen, farmers would not only feel fulfilled, but they would also be empowered to grow quality, safe Vietnamese produce with pride and dedication.
She dreamed of a future where no farmer would have to painfully cut down the very trees they once nurtured—trees that represented their hopes, dreams, and hard work—just because they brought no economic return.
One day, during a field trip with Mr. Nozawa Hiroki, they passed through the lush cocoa-growing region of Châu Đức in Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu. Ms. Thu introduced him to this crop, and to her surprise, Mr. Nozawa was deeply impressed that cocoa—such a globally valued crop—could be grown in her homeland.
That moment sparked a vision: What if we could elevate the value of cocoa?
What if we could ensure these vast cocoa farms don’t quietly vanish over time?
From that seed of inspiration, a new journey began—the journey to turn cocoa into a symbol of pride and prosperity for Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu.

“Born from soil, Built by soul”
OCA Viet Nhat Co., Ltd., also known as OCA, is a startup enterprise founded in 2019. OCA is a pioneer in enhancing the value of Vietnamese cacao, continuously researching and developing a wide range of deep-processed products to place Vietnam firmly on the global cacao and chocolate map.
With a proudly Vietnamese brand and internationally recognized organic certifications — JAS (Japan), USDA (United States), COR (Canada), and EU Organic (Europe) — OCA has built a strong domestic distribution network that competes with imported products. The company has also successfully expanded into formal export markets, including European countries such as the Netherlands, Hungary, France, and Germany, as well as Japan — one of the most demanding food markets in the world.
In 2024, OCA co-launched the brand Vietnam Chocoland (LA), a retail chain now operating in key tourist destinations: Phu Quoc, Nha Trang (2 locations), Ho Chi Minh City (2 locations), and Vung Tau.
Vietnam Chocoland was created as a cacao product brand tailored to both international and domestic tourists. Like OCA, Vietnam Chocoland not only focuses on its core products — cacao and chocolate — but also expands into organic agricultural goods that promote health and well-being for consumers.
